Hi guys,

I've created a CDB file in Ansys classic which contains solid and spring elements (combin39).

When I open it in WB, the spring elements are not being imported. Only solid ones.

Any idea how to fix it?

Thanks,

Dear friend Almir Sobral Monteiro da Silva :-)

According to the RTFM, release 2019 R3 should read it correctly only COMBIN14.
Good luck

Supported Source File Commands
The application imports the following source file data/commands as springs:

CDB
For the CDB file type imported into Mechanical through External Model, the application only processes COMBIN14 linear spring elements. Also note that for imported Spring data:
For the supported constants of this element type, Mechanical only processes KEYOPT commands Stiffness (K) and structural Damping Coefficient (CV1). If your input data includes any KEYOPT commands in addition to K or CV1 (such as CV2), these additional commands are not processed.
Mechanical does not process material commands.
Supported KEYOPT numbers include structural degrees of freedom only.
