Dear Xansys experts,
Is there any way to create Ansys input deck with its load steps having unique titles?

Assume I have two load steps in my model namely Preload and service load. Then I need to have title of first load step as "Preload" and second load step as" Service Load".

Is there any smart way to do this?

I am assuming that you will be using these titles while taking various plots. If this is the case, then "/TITLE" command can be used, and you can add this to your input/post-processing deck.

It is not for post processing. I need the title in input deck itself.
This is a requirement for doing further work in another software.

Normally Nastran, Optistruct & Abaqus input decks do have unique title for each load steps. But Ansys do not have this option.
I need to know is there any indirect way to create title for load steps.

I pasted the command lines of Abaqus input deck which depicts the title of an load step. Here the Title of load step  is "Acceleration"

** STEP: Acceleration
**
*Step, name=Acceleration, nlgeom=YES
Acceleration
*Static
0.1, 1., 1e-08, 1.

I need similar facility in Ansys input deck.

PS: I am expecting this  in Ansys Workbench input deck ( ds.dat)

maybe you could include the title as a comment, preceded by an exclamation sign. And in case this is a problem, you can just add the line "*step...", because in the solution processor, there is no such a command (*step). When running, Ansys will issue a warning and ignore it. If you must run this in batch mode, maybe you need to use error control.

To my knowledge, ANSYS does not have something like the Abaqus example that you shared.  As others have mentioned, you only have a few options...

/TITLE, Acceleration
It adds the title to the load step in the database, which means it shows in the GUI for post-processing plots.

/COM, Acceleration
It adds a comment in the output file for the user to see later when reviewing Solve.OUT.

! Acceleration
It adds an annotation in the input deck.  It's not echoed anywhere else.

To your other statement about needing this in Workbench Mechanical, you can merely add a command snippet in the environment branch to do this.  In that situation, the only options that might work are /TITLE and /COM since I believe those will be echoed into DS.DAT.
