Folks - I have RTFM on this but cannot seem to find the answer. I am hoping that someone knows the answer off the top of their head... I setup a "General" joint in WB with curve-based stiffnesses for various directions. Looking through the ds.dat file for this model, I see that the MPC-184 joint uses TB and TBPT commands to set up the curves. My question is - if my deflections go beyond the curves that have been input, how does Ansys handle this? Does it extrapolate using the slope of the last segment, flat line the curve, drop the stiffness to zero, or something else? Thank you, in advance, for your help!
